It's a pleasure to meet you, we're so happy you asked a little more about us!

The museum gift shop is located on the grounds of Parkwood, a 15,000 square foot, 55 room mansion and home of the founder of General Motors Canada, the late R.S. McLaughlin. The estate is proud to call the neighbourhood of downtown Oshawa, Ontario its home.

Open year round for mansion tours- be sure to check our exciting events calendar to see when specialty programs are offered to include access to the servants' quarters, the innovative basement spaces and stunning greenhouses. Tickets can be reserved in advance online.

But wait, there's more...

Parkwood loves to entertain with seasonal outdoor picnics for all ages: gourmet and Teddy Bear themed. Got a Green Thumb? We have a variety of succulent, planters and wreath workshops hosted in our greenhouses. Fancy yourself crafty? Imagine summery evenings in the formal gardens, painting and sipping wine with friends! The holiday teas in the grand Sunroom are always a hit, so be sure to follow our social pages for announcements and book tickets with your besties.

Looking for a bite to eat with the best view around? We've got you covered during the lovely weather months- outdoor dining next to the fountain in the formal gardens serves as a stunning backdrop to accompany a splendid meal. Menu and reservations are available on line- let's save you a seat!

A leisurely stroll through the grounds and gardens will do your soul a world of  good, AND they are free to visit (closed during the winter months as the flower beds are sleeping, shhhhh).
When you pass by the Carriage House, be sure to pop in the Gift Shop to say hello new friends!
We look forward to seeing you soon <3
